Resident Activities

Our residents' days are filled with choices for interesting and lively interaction.

Inver Glen Senior Living provides a wide range of activities to keep our residents on their toes. From strength training workouts and holiday parties to baking cookies and summer bonfires, our days are packed with opportunities for camaraderie and life enrichment. Our Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care residents come together to learn new skills, develop close friendships, connect on a spiritual level and share a few laughs.

Sue Hastings

Activities Director

Sue’s gifts and talents fit our community like a puzzle piece. A recently ordained minister, Sue has been with Inver Glen Senior Living since we opened in October 2009. She attended Golden Valley Lutheran College and North Hennepin Community College and went on to play music for a living in various bands during her 20s. She later helped run the Disciples Ministry Mission in North Minneapolis before taking a music coordinator position at a nursing home in 2004.

As Activities Director, Sue laughs and cries with our special population of seniors on a daily basis. Sue’s parents moved to Inver Glen in 2009 and she was blessed to see her mother every day in our Memory Care unit until she passed away. Sue is also blessed to be a support for her widowed father. From listening to our tenants’ stories to watching our preschoolers grow, there’s no other job for Sue!

To all the staff and hospice care givers,
Sammi & Gail want to thank you all for your kind hearts. You all showed us so much compassion. You made us feel supported and cared about while we visited our loved one, Mary Andrejka.
A big hug to you all.

– Sammi & Gail
